Space Art

Space art has always fascinated me.  Browsing through the works of Joe Bergeron, Dan Durda, Mark Garlick, Don Davis and many others takes the mind to places never dreamed of.

Space art has evolved from a strictly canvas format and now includes digitally produced works using software such as Photoshop.  Since I am much more comfortable with Photoshop than a brush I recently (April of 2016) decided to give it a try.  While browsing through the internet looking for tutorials I came across a website in the UK that had everything I needed to get started.  Digital Heavens was started by Stewart Wood and is a wonderful source of products, tutorials and other information for space artists and photographers.   Many of the images below have been created using their Cosmic Pack 3 software package.  I have also used other online resources to produce some of the lens flares.

I am having a lot of fun creating these images and  hope you enjoy them.
