Embedded in an area filled with glowing red emission nebulae lie beautiful blue reflection nebulae vdB 131 and vdB 132. NGC 6914 is an amazing area filled with stars, glowing gas and
dust. It can be found in the constellation Cygnus and is estimated to be approximately 6000 light years distant. It lies within the Cygnus OB2 association with its hot young stars supplying the ultraviolet radiation required to ionize the region's hydrogen gas. This
produces the red clouds prevalent in this image. These OB2 stars also provide blue starlight which reflects in the dust clouds of NGC 6914.
This version of NGC 6914 is starless. Please view the final image with stars included.
This is the first object that I have imaged with my newest camera, the ASI533mm.
