Eastern Veil Nebula  ngc 6992

The result of a massive stellar explosion, the Eastern Veil Nebula is part of the Cygnus Loop.  This nebula is a cloud of heated ionized gas and dust.  The red portion of this nebula shows hydrogen content while the blue shows oxygen.

The Veil Nebula, in my eyes, is one of the most beautiful areas of the night sky.
