Asteroid (433) Eros
On November 16, 2025 I trained my telescope and camera on asteroid (433) Eros. In this image the stars are stationary while Eros makes its way through the constellation Andromeda. Eros is an asteroid "rock star" having been the first asteroid to be orbited by a spacecraft and the first one to have a spacecraft land on it and was the first near earth asteroid (NEA) to be discovered. To create this video I took 25 two minute exposures (using my Esprit 120 telescope and ASI2600mc camera) and stitched them together.
